Recycling of plastics from healthcare facilities in Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Plastic recycling in healthcare facilities is now a major challenge. The wide variety of plastics used, combined with organizational and logistical constraints, makes it difficult to implement systematic recycling.
To provide concrete solutions, the Recysanté project spent two years addressing this issue in collaboration with four healthcare facilities in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Led by Reviplast and co-funded by ADEME, this project tested operational solutions for sorting, collecting, and recycling plastics.
In this context, Reviplast and its partners are pleased to invite you to a half-day workshop dedicated to sharing the project’s lessons learned and results, as well as collectively identifying actions to be taken to enable a broader rollout of plastic recycling in healthcare facilities.
On the agenda:
- Presentation of the results of the Recysanté project
- Feedback from healthcare facilities that participated in the pilot programs
- Collaborative workshop to define the next steps
Discussions will focus in particular on the types of plastics that can be recycled, the systems to be implemented within healthcare facilities, and the organizational arrangements downstream, in coordination with collection and recycling partners.
